Welcome to the Sacramento State Club Volleyball. We are your one stop website for information about club volleyball at Sac State. Our men's team has been around for over 25 years and in many years, field two teams. The men's teams have had great success over the years and strive to continue that strong tradition. The women's team, started in the 2002 season, has had a successful start and looks to improve each and every year.

Hello Alumni,

I hope all you of have been well since we last saw you.

The Men's Club is getting together again on what promises to be a really good season. We had such a great turn out this year with try outs that we are going to field a JV team to participate in Division II. We are really excited about getting this program jump started and getting back to having a very good program. We have a lot o returners this year ans some newcomers that will make a great contribution to our program.

We are also pleased to announce that Suji Dhillon will be taking over the head coaching duties for the club. He has a good amount of experience coaching on multiple levels and has played in the club for the past few years as our setter. He is done playing but wanted to give back to the club and we are really happy to have him. We look forward to many years of success with his leadership.

I thought after our famous "Two Week Notice" Alumni Game last year that would get a better head start with Alumni weekend this year.

We have tentatively set March 13-15, 2009 as Alumni Weekend.

While its always great to get together with friends and teammates, "old and new", we are really focusing on bringing "Family" into this years event. With that said, we are hoping to get former players and their families at this years BBQ on Saturday, the 14th. There will be a few activities, for the kids. Additionally, after a few years of no new inductees, we are going to induct an new group of former players into the Men's Volleyball Hall of Fame, this will occur during the BBQ. If you are an Alumni who keeps "intending" on coming to an Alumni Weekend, this surely would be the one to attend. We will have players from all past teams, and it should be our best event ever as we expect a large group of OLD SCHOOLERS to attend, guys from the first few years.

Thanks all for your generous support and commitment to the club each and every year. It is always a pleasure to meet all of you each year.

Men's Tryout Dates:

2009 try outs for the Sacramento State Men's Club Volleyball team will held on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 7th and 8th. Tryouts will be held in the small gym Yosemite Hall 171 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.

Women's Tryout Dates:

The Sacramento State Women's Club Volleyball team will conduct tryouts for the 2009 season on October 7th and 8th. These dates are a Tuesday and Wednesday. Tryouts will be held in Yosemite Hall 171 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Participants are asked to be ready to go at the 5:00PM start time. Each athlete trying out for the 2009 team will also be asked to pay a $10 tryout fee.
