NCVF Mizuno Rankings

The latest NCVF Mizuno rankings have been released.

After being swept by San Jose State(21), followed by 5 set losses to both UC Davis(16) and Cal Poly(2), the Sacramento State women fall eight spots to #23 in the rankings.  With a 22-1 overall record, Cal Poly moved up to the #1 spot with Santa Clara moving up to #4.  Other NCCVL teams making the top 25 were #15 UC Davis, #17 San Jose State and #25 UC Santa Barbara.

This coming weekend, the UC Davis Women's Far Westerns Tournament should help shape things up for the next scheduled Ranking Poll Date of March 1, 2010.

Valentine's Weekend

This weekend brings tournament play for the men and a multi city road trip for the women!

First on Thursday, February 11, the #15 Sac State women travel across the causeway to take on #16 UC Davis at 7:00PM.  This will be followed up a trip down to San Luis Obisop to take on #2 Cal Poly on Saturday, February 13 at 12:00PM.

The Hornet men will spend the weekend in Davis participating in the 25th Annual Collegiate Far Westerns Invitational hosted by UC Davis Men's Volleyball.  This is traditionally one of the best and largest collegiate club volleyball tournaments on the west coast!

Come out and support your Hornets!

Super Bowl Weekend

Super Bowl Weekend has arrived, but before you gather to watch the Colts and Saints go at it, Sac State Club Volleyball has a full weekend of matches scheduled!

The Hornet D1 Men finally have their home opener against Sonoma State Saturday evening at 7:00PM.

With schedule updates done, the #15 Sac State Women are on the road at #21 San Jose State **Saturday** evening.  Match time is set for 5:00PM.

Finally, the Hornet D2 Men have 3 road matches scheduled.  First up, a 7:00PM Friday night match at UC Davis II.  Next on Saturday, a 3:00PM match at City College of San Francisco.  Then the D2 men finish up the weekend for a 10:00AM Sunday match against San Francisco State.

Go out and support your Sacramento State Hornets!
