Ed Jackson

2009

Ed Jackson (1991-1994, 1997) is best remembered by his numerous opponents as "that guy who could jump out of the gym". As a conversation piece, the actual height of Ed's vertical was often the focal point. What is not up for debate, is the hitting prowess of the 5'11" southpaw. During his years with the club, Jackson played entire seasons at different positions (S, Opp, RSH), filling in where the team needed him the most. He was a two time All-American, earning MVP honors in 1997 in leading the Hornets to their second National Championship. Ed has remained in volleyball in the coaching ranks, and is currently the Assistant Coach with the Fresno State Women's Volleyball team.
